COVID-19 Updates

A MESSAGE TO OUR PATIENTS DURNG THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

We have transitioned to providing in-office, phone call and telemedicine (video) appointments.

Please arrive with a mask on. You must wear a mask while in the clinic.

We request only the patient who has the appointment attends the clinic. When necessary, only one parent/guardian/caregiver may attend with the patient.

We have a limit of how many patients may wait in the waiting room. You may be asked to wait outside if the limit has been reached. Always maintain physical distancing of 2 meters/6 feet from others.

If you develop a cough, fever, sore throat or shortness of breath prior to your visit, please use an at-home COVID test to confirm your are negative.

If you have COVID-19 Symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat or shortness of breath):

  • Use a rapid antigen test at home prior to coming into the office
  • If you have a positive COVID test result, please do not come into the clinic and instead isolate at home. If you have an in-office appointment booked, please call the office so we can reschedule to a phone or video call.

New Clinic Protocols

Following the guidelines set out by the Ministry of Health, WorkSafeBC and the Doctors of BC we have made changes for the safety of our patients and staff.

What We Have Done:

  • Screening in-office appointments for COVID-19 symptoms prior to booking any in-office visits.
  • Only allowing a limited number of patients to visit the office — depending on the illness or concern.
  • Added plexiglass barriers to our front desk.
  • All staff are wearing masks and other appropriate PPE when necessary.
  • Masks are mandatory for all patients who enter the clinic, with the exception of those under 5 years old or who have been exempted by their physician or nurse practitioner.
  • There is limited seating in the waiting room to maintain social distancing. We have also limited the number of family members who attend for an appointment.
  • Each patient will be screened again before being brought into an exam room and will be given hand sanitizer.
  • The room, any equipment used and objects touched will be sanitized between patients.
  • The physicians, nurse practitioners and staff will ensure personal distancing and hygiene guidelines are followed.

What we ask of you:

  • Wear a mask and come alone for in-office visit.
  • If you have COVID-19 symptoms (cough, sore throat, fever or shortness of breath) you will use an at-home rapid antigen test to confirm your are negative.
  • Reschedule your in-office visit if you are not feeling well/have a positive COVID test at home.
  • Inform us of any COVID-19 symptoms PRIOR TO arriving to an in-office visit so your provider can be advised and make the decision if a virtual appointment is more appropriate.
  • Maintain physical distancing while in the office. This may include having to wait outside if the waiting room has reached it’s limit.
